PrestaShop is one of the best eCommerce platform also. It is more stable and security. It supports multi-stores, marketplace and many payment gateways.
In general, PrestaShop can make all functionalities of an eCommerce site like Shopify does. It is an open source platform, so you can control the source code on your host. It is safe and easy to customize.
