    Hi,

I have purchased and install your New York Prestashop Theme in a new site where I have already install a fresh prestashop cms. I configured the NY theme, according with your documentation, but I am confused as I reached  the "Install Quickstart Demo Content" section. Is this section still necessary to be done? Those screenshots are from the 1.0 version and I can not find the Multistore from the Step 5.

    Hi iulianv ,

Install demo is completely new installation. they are not the same as installing themes.

So if you want to install the demo, you need to install them as you have installed the PS default.

Ok. Thanks for your quick answer.

First of all, just to be clear. This is the demo content and I need to add this to my default PS with the NY theme already installed to have my theme working in full options, right?

Second, I need to create a new database with a new user and keep the initial one, right? I did this from cPanel.

Third, where do I copy the files and folder from the 'newyork_qs' archive? Directly in the root, overwriting the ones from the default PS installation? I have already installed the NY theme as the documentation said in the default PS.
I have tried this and got an error on the transfer through FTP.

Do I keep the same Tables prefix (ps_) in hte Configure your database step?

    Hi iulianv ,

    is not,

    you are mistaken.

If you want to install quick start, please copy all the data in the "newyork_qs" folder to put them in your root folder and install normally as you once installed the PS default.

In addition, if you want to install a theme, please install PS default and add their theme in the theme & logo.

These are 2 completely different ways.

If you still do not understand and want to install quick start, please send cpanel information and upload the quick start folder that you want to install on root, then give us the file path, we will help you install .

Ok. I understood and I installed the quick start.

The problem now is that after I install the quick start, completing successfully all six installation steps, I can not access the admin area. If I click the Manage your store or going directly through the url ("sitename.com/admin") the page does open and returns error:

    This page isn’t working
deco.host3d.ro is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

    • front end site is working with some exceptions:
a- the links from Other Demo menu item goes to 404 Page not found
b- all menu items and submenus (except Men and Women) points to 404 Page not found

    • the admin area can not be accessed no matter the name of the admin folder

    • install folder is deleted

    • I followed all the steps from the documentation. I tried with different databases, with user am password, without user and password. The database is created through cPanel.

What could be the problem here?

And a side question: this quick start package has different content or more extensions that the other package added through the Theme&Logo in the default PS installation? Does it work the effort to make it work?

    Hi iulianv ,

The demo will have the content and product as on the demo,

As for the installation package via theme & logo, they will prune the data and product.

After successfully installing quick start, you access admin as usual,

change the install and access file name like Ps default, they are no different.

You may have installed it incorrectly or encountered an error during the installation process.

I managed to access it. It was something from the version of php (it was 7.3 and now is 7.0) and apparently, an mySql extension from cPanel was needed to be enabled.

    Thank you.

    Hi iulianv,

    Yes,

Currently PS is supporting the maximum with the latest version is 7.2

although in PS versions and using PHP, please use php 7.1 or below to make everything work properly.
